Q. How does the fountain work?
A. A chocolate fountain is a stainless steel piece of catering equipment that melts chocolate in a heated basin. A motor driven auger carries
the chocolate up the cylinder to the top of the fountain where a warm curtain of chocolate cascades down and over the fountain tiers the
illusion of a chocolate waterfall.
Q. What kind of chocolate is used in the fountain?
A. Luxury Belgian courverture chocolate is used. We can offer Milk, White or dark and many colours
Q. How many people will a fountain serve?
A. 10kg of Belgian chocolate will provide enough dips for 100-200 people, more chocolate ca be added for larger events.
Q. What can i dip in the chocolate fountain?
A. In our experience, the favourites are: strawberries,, marshmallows, profiterole's and fudge. Crumbly food are the only no no as they
break up and disturb the smooth flow of the fountain. We would be willing to provide you with a selection of other choices.
Q. Can I use the fountain outdoors?
A. The chocolate fountain is for indoor use only. The slightest breeze causes disruption the the flow of the chocolate, not to mention flying
insects...
Q. Is the chocolate fountain easy to set up, take down and clean?
A. Not for you as we do that.
Q. Is there a time limit it can be used for?
A. No. Our standard hire period is 3 hours, though the chocolate fountain can be run continuously for longer periods by adding more
Belgian chocolate, contact us in advance to arrange longer hire periods.
Q. What do I need to provide?
A. The chocolate fountain requires a sturdy level table (capable of supporting 70kgs) with table linen, close to a power socket. We will
supply the skewers and napkins, if you would prefer your guests to use plates, these should be arranged by the event organisers.
Q. How far in advance do I have to book?
A. As soon as possible, most people book early to avoid disappointment.
Q. What area do you cover?
A. The whole of the North West, For example, Blackpool, Lytham St Annes and Preston etc. (contact us for areas other then the north west.)
Q. How much will it cost to hire a fountain?
A. The price will depend on your requirements, depending on how many people we will be catering for, contact us to arrange costs.
Q. What will the fountain attendant do?
A. The uniformed attendants will set up the fountain, attend to your guests throughout your hire, replenish any dips and disassemble the
fountain at the end of your hire
